Star Wars Punch Out and Play, Australian Style
First, there was author Corey Redekop, punching out and playing. Then rising star Cherie Priest and stalwart of Finnish fandom Tero Ykspetäjä weighed in with their rather remarkable mise-en-scenes using the figures. Cherie used her cat as a prop, while Tero used an entire convention and sailing vessel. (There may be more to come from Tero's colleague Jukka Halme, who helped with Tero's batch.)
Now the international Star Wars: Punch Out and Play! lunacy previous noted continues unabated--this time at Tessa Kum's Silence Without blog. Tessa is an incredibly talented Australian blogger and writer whose cool "dislocated perceptions" fictions, 7wishes, should make some lucky book publisher very happy in the near future. As might be expected given the irreverent and often blunt nature of Silence Without, Sir Tessa dispensed with the niceties of paper doll puppet play, not only holding some frank discussions but also burning a character she felt did not belong in the collection. If you want a Monday morning laugh peppered with a few muttered "Oh no, she didn't!", go take a look; it's pretty classic comics stuff.
