Haiti Earthquake Relief: Two Places to Help

I'm sure everyone is aware of the earthquake destruction in Haiti. If you want to contribute to relief, we have two suggestions (among many out there). We've set up a page on Amazon where you can directly donate to Mercy Corps to help survivors with food, shelter and other supplies. And I'm sure anyone who has read Tracy Kidder's Mountains Beyond Mountains will think of Dr. Paul Farmer's Partners in Health organization, which has done much of their work in Haiti. According to an announcement on their website, their main facilities, a couple hours away from the earthquake's epicenter near Port-au-Prince, were shaken but undamaged and will be a crucial medical resource for the injured who can't find help in the destroyed city. They are accepting donations earmarked for the earthquake. Thanks. --Tom
