Cybils winners announced! The 2009 winners of the esteemed Children's and Young Adult Bloggers' Literary Awards (a.k.a. the "Cybils") were just announced. Check out the full roster of winners, including Bad to the Bone for best early chapter book. ("This dog’s eye view of the world is laugh-out-loud funny.")
Mommy & Daddy Hugs & Kisses. Twenty by Jenny celebrated Valentine's last week with a review of the new-ish Mommy & Daddy Hugs & Kisses box set, a collection of some classic, science-sprinkled board books.

New Notes from the Horn Book. The February installment of the Horn Book's monthly newsletter is out. "Nixing Nightmares." Gina at PBS Booklights passes on a recommendation for a book to help "nix nightmares": Tell Me Something Happy Before I Go To Sleep.
100 Scope Notes has moved. Check out the highly spiffy new digs of the always-great 100 Scope Notes--which is all grown up now and bidding a final farewell to its old Wordpress site.
The Beat has *also* moved. "The Beat," a great comics blog from Publishers Weekly ("The Blog of Comics Culture"), recently moved to a new url. Of related interest to kid-litters: PW Comics Week just launched a new category: "we're teaming up with our colleagues at Library Journal and School Library Journal to launch 'Libraries and Graphic Novels,' a new content category at PW Comics Week that will highlight news and information on comics and graphic novels specifically aimed at libraries."
