The Best Books of the Year So Far
Over the past month or so, we’ve been putting together our 2012 Best Books of the Year So Far list. It’s been a lot of fun, not just because there have been so many great books to read and consider, but because there’s been such a variety of great books this year.
Looking at the top three Best Books of the Year so Far, there’s Katherine Boo’s nonfiction masterpiece about the big struggles and little triumphs of slum dwellers outside of Mumbai, there’s a top-notch thriller (that’s quickly becoming one of the hottest books of the summer), and there’s a young adult book. All three of these books are great in their own right, but they’re great in different ways.
We, the Amazon editors, feel that there’s truly something for everyone on this list. Yes, there are big worthy names like Toni Morrison and Hilary Mantel. But there are also books that might surprise you. And along with a top 20 overall list, we've included thirteen categories of top tens. What’s your Best Book of the Year So Far?
