Celebrity Picks: David Spade's Favorite Reads of 2015

Amazon Book Review: David SpadeFor more than 20 years, you've known David Spade as the comedian and star of Saturday Night Live, Tommy Boy, Just Shoot Me!, and the Joe Dirt cycle. Now he's an author. Almost Interesting: The Memoir  is his "book about comedy, and how I came up from the dusty roads of Arizona with my OP shorts and my blond fluffy hair, to the mean streets of Beverly Hills, with nothing but a few props in my mom’s old honeymoon suitcase and a few dry jokes." And just as you'd expect, it's candid, funny, and a little bit blue.

See Spade's picks for his own favorite reads of 2015 below, and look here for more celebrity favorites. Learn more about the Amazon Books Editors' picks for the Best Books of the Year.

Yes Please by Amy Poehler
I have to give it up to my fellow SNL alum. Amy is always funny and smart and so is her book. She says in the introduction that she hated writing her book. Having just finished my own I can relate. It is hard but like surgery, you're happy with it afterwards, and I’ve had tons of surgery.

I Must Say by Martin Short
Another SNL alum and someone I've laughed at my entire life. Not with... at. There are lots of heart and soul in his story and he gets very real in places--which I’m sure was hard for him to do. He's a great guy and a great comedian. Worth a look.

Yoda: The Story of a Cat and his Kittens by Beth Stern
Beth is an animal lover and did this book based on the kitten rescues she has been doing for years for a local animal shelter. This one is for kids and a very cute read. She just did a second one and I recorded the audio book for it. My daughter Harper loved this book and I'm sure she'll love the next one.
