Celebrity Picks: Jacques Pépin’s Favorite Reads of 2017

When I saw the books Jacques Pépin most enjoyed this year, they made perfect sense somehow....  See his picks below, and look here for more celebrity favorites.

Love In the Time Of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
I love magical realism in a realistic fiction. The mythical, fantastic life of Florentino, Fermina and Dr. Urbino flow like a dream. Reading at its best.

The story of Ondine cooking for Picasso on the French Riviera of the 30's and the story of her granddaughter Celine in present time, wave a fascinating, highly readable and touching tale of love, art, cooking and joie de vivre; hard to put down.
