The 2017 Hugo Awards for the Best in Science Fiction

Hugo AwardOver the weekend in Helsinki, Finland, the 75th World Science Fiction Convention announced the winners of the Hugo Awards, one of the genre's most prestigious awards. Next year, Worldcon will be held in San Jose, California.

BEST NOVEL - The Obelisk Gate by N. K. Jemisin. Jemisin's first book in this trilogy, The Fifth Season, also won the Hugo Award in 2016 for best novel. The Stone Sky will be published on August 15, 2017, and concludes the trilogy.
