YA Wednesday: Maggie Stiefvater on "All the Crooked Saints"

MaggieSteifvaterIt's always a pleasure to spend time with Maggie Stiefvater.  She's one of the most fan-engaged authors I know, and she writes books that get read quickly, talked about, and passed among friends.  Stiefvater wrapped up her Raven Cycle series last year and recently published a stand alone novel, All the Crooked Saints.  This novel has something a little different--Stiefvater venturing into magical realism and doing it well.

All the Crooked Saints tells the story of a small desert town where people go to seek miracles from the family who can perform them and we learn that there can be a fine line between what we most desire and what we most fear...  When Stiefvater visited our office we talked about the book, what she most wants and fears, and building a music studio.  You'll find it all in the short video below.
